Books

I’ve always been drawn to the way stories move us—how they inspire, comfort, and challenge us to see life from new perspectives. Writing allowed me to capture those moments of connection, create something meaningful, and spark imagination and ignite conversations.

This passion led me to publish my own children’s books, stories that I hoped would inspire readers to believe in themselves, embrace their inner strength, and engage in meaningful conversations about the world around them.

In 2014, I set out to publish my first children’s book, Little Voice, which eventually became available in French as La petite voix. I later went on to publish my second book, The Lighthouse, followed by its French counterpart, Le phare, in 2017. These stories represent my hope to inspire children to dream bigger, think deeper, and recognize the extraordinary power of their own story.

Since 2014, I have:

    • had Little Voice recognized by Scholastic as one of the top inspirational books of 2015, alongside authors like J.K. Rowling;
    • sold and continued to sell my books through Chapters, Indigo, Coles across Ottawa (listed online), and other retail partners;
    • been featured on TV, heard on the radio, and published in papers for my story, books, and fundraising efforts;
    • seen my books added to elementary school libraries across Canada;
    • donated over $11,000 to support programs and charities across Canada, including the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the National Canadian Mental Health Association, and a number of community initiatives through the former Little Voice Community Ambassador Program.

Most importantly, I have shared my books with children and adults alike, hoping to inspire meaningful conversations, particularly around mental health, while also giving back to my community.

Looking ahead, I hope to continue writing and publishing future books, further exploring the themes of resilience, empathy, and self-discovery that have been at the heart of my work.
